A new chief installed at Kpando Gadza

Kpando Gadza now has a chief (Dufia) after a 25- year search for a successor to Togbui Kodzoga IV.

The new chief Togbui Kodzoga V, is Mr Ernest Kojo Apraku, Operations Manager of Ericsson AB-Ghana.

He is also the Local Chairman of the Communication Workers Union of the Ghana Trades Union Congress.

Togbui Kodzoga V on Saturday swore an oath of allegiance to Togbui Lokko VII, Fiaga of Kpando Gbordome.

The oath customarily bound Togbui Kodzoga to his responsibilities to Togbui Lokko, head of the Gbodorme division under which Gadza falls.

The colourful ceremony followed the installation of Togbui Kodzoga V as Dufia of Gadza in October, this year.

Hundreds of people, natives and visitors, clad in red and black apparel, sang and danced as Togbui Kodzoga took the oath, assuring Togbui Lokko of his readiness to respond to his call at any time.

He pledged to be loyal to the Gbordome division and to the entire Akpini Traditional area.
