A lecturer of UDS fined 300 Ghana cedis for motor offence

Tamale, Aug. 8, GNA – A Tamale Circuit court on Thursday, convicted Julius Dougdem, a lecturer of University for Development Studies (UDS) Nyankpala Campus, on his own plea for a motor traffic offence.

Dougdem was fined GH A2300 for failing to renew his road worthiness certificate since July 2, this year, failing to comply with a road sign, disobeying the No U turn sign and failing to carry his driving licence with him.

The prosecution told the court presided over by Mr John B. Nabarase that the accused was arrested by the police on July 5, this year, at the traffic lights near Melcom store in Tamale for contravening the traffic offences and after investigations charged.
