A farmer installed Queen Mother

Akim Begoro (E/R), May 11, GNA- A 45-year-old farmer, Madam Abena Seiwaa, has been installed Queen Mother at Akim Begoro under the stool name, Nana Serwaa Agyeiwaa, II.

She swore the oath of allegiance to Baffour Opoku Afrane, II. Briefing the Ghana News Agency, Nana Baffour Opoku Afrane, II, explained that the Queen Mother would finally appear and swear again to Osabarima Awuah Kotoko, II, the chief of Begoro and Benkumhene of Akim Abuakwa Traditional area.

Baffour Opoku Afrane II, who is the Ammammerehene of Begoro and Sub-Chief, said his outfit needed a Queen Mother who would organize women to undertake useful ventures to improve the living conditions of women in the society and also lead the crusade against HIV/AIDs. The Queen Mother, Nana Seiwaa pledged to assist the youth to become useful citizens and also initiate self-help projects. 11 May 07
