A falling tree branch kills three-year-old boy

Akorabourkrom (Ash), Jan. 19, GNA – A three-year-old boy who accompanied his father to the farm met his untimely death when a falling branch from a tree under which they had taken shelter during a rainstorm, hit him at Akorabourkrom in the Atwima-Mponua district of Ashanti.

According to Nyinahin police, the tragedy occurred on the evening of January 7, when Samuel Sarpong, the deceased and his father ran to take shelter under a big tree during the rainstorm. Police sources said the boy was rushed to the Nyinahin hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Master Sarpong has since been buried.
