The Sunyani Polytechnic Chapter of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party, ‘TESCON’, has has disassociated itself from a group calling itself “TESCON Natioal” which is claiming to be the mother of all TESCON.
In a press release to Space FM in Sunyani, the President of S-Poly TESCON, Mr Tweneboa Kodua Emmanuel said ” We want to state categorically that we do not recognise any body called ‘TESCON National’ and it is unconstitutional so far as TESCON Sunyani Polytechnic Chapter is concerned”.
The statement continued that “the constitution of the NPP recognises TESCON groups but each group in acredited Tertiary institutions is autonomous and operates on its own”.
“We therefore appeal to those individuals who are using the name ‘TESCON National’ for their selfish gains to refrain from that”, the statement added.
Mr Tweneboah Kodua further called on all TESCON Chapters and the NPP hierachy to denounce the so called ‘TESCON National’.
