The Achimota (Mile 7) police have arrested four suspects in connection with a robbery at a forex bureau at Madina, near Accra, involving more than seven million cedis and some foreign currency on October 16. After receiving a tip-off, police arrested the four near the ABC junction in Accra while they were dividing the booty, Inspector Jordan Quaye of the Public Relations Unit at Police Regional Head Quarters in Accra, said on Wednesday.
Quaye said in a press release that police confiscated 7,491,000 cedis, one dollar, five pounds sterling and 20,000 CFA from the suspects. Police impounded a locally made pistol found on one of the suspects and a taxi they had used in the robbery.
