Easter – Koforidua

The Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rt. Rev. Francis Benjamin Quashie has called on Christians to be guided by the truth and their conscience in voting during the December elections. He urged the congregation not to allow monetary gains to influence their votes so that they could vote for persons who could perform the work of governance and would feel free to praise when they do well and criticize when they fail.

Bishop Quashie, who was delivering the sermon on Easter Sunday at the St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral at Koforidua said the resurrection of Jesus Christ was the demonstration of the triumph of love and righteousness over hatred and sin.

He said Christ lived and preached for love and righteousness but was killed because of hatred and sin and called on Christians to live by the truth and love.

Bishop Quashie prayed that this year’s Easter would not only lead to spiritual transformation of Christians but also lead to change of negative altitudes to positive ones and social transformation of Ghanaian homes, communities and the country at large.
