PNC on easter

PNC SHARE WITH CHRISTIANS ON EASTER

The leadership of the PNC wishes all Ghanaians and the Christian community across the world a reflective Easter. The PNC recognises the significance of this day in the life of Christianity especially as this day marks a day that Christ died for our sins. The death of Christ was indeed both and disservice and a blessing to mankind. It is a disservice because it truncated the fundamental revolution that Christ was assigned, and a blessing because it reminds us of the role of traitors in our amidst and also that the death of Christ was for mankind to be saved.

As we reflect on the merits of this day, we call on Ghanaians not to forget the humble beginnings of Christ and the magnificent achievements of his life such that several years after his death, Christ remains but a ‘booming enterprise’. There are indeed false prophets and of course genuine preachers as there are false politicians and genuine politicians. We urge genuine leaders of the church to pray for Ghanaians to be imbued with the true meaning of Jesus Christ-coming from a poor background, yet superintended the world.

2008 is an essential year for the running of national affairs; the PNC is of the view that Ghana needs a kind of leadership in the make of Christ to take swift and bold decisions devoid of corruption, arrogance, favouritism and insensitivity. Ghana required a leadership that would put God and country first, neighbour second and self last and Dr Edward Mahama, symbolises that leadership.

The PNC is convinced that this Easter will bring our nation to the luminous summits in our practice of democracy that will ensure efficient and effective leadership that will inspire hope and confidence in our country, continent and world.

Happy Easter to you all.

A B. Mornah [General Secretary]
