Nasara Club in Ashanti warns Splinter Group

Kumasi, March 20, GNA – The Ashanti Regional Branch of the Nasara Club of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cautioned a group calling itself the “Visionaries”, a self-Styled NPP youth group operating in the Zongo Communities in the Ashanti Region, saying its activities were in contravention with the Party’s constitution. This was contained in press statement signed by Alhaji Ali Musah Zingi, Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer of the Club on Thursday.

“We are calling on the few men who are trying to bring the splinter group into fruition to rescind their decision, submerge their selfish and parochial interest in the supreme interest of the NPP, if they profess to genuinely love the Party,” the release noted. It said the NPP constitution recognizes only the Nasara Club, a special organ of the Party in the Zongos, and that the club would not tolerate any parallel group and its ideologies because the development was a recipe for division in the Party. “The Visionaries should as a matter of urgency join forces with the duly recognized Nasara Club to bring whatever political skills, youth ingenuity and energies they have to bear on the fortunes of the NPP so that the party chalks a greater success in the forthcoming December elections,” the release stated.
