Ahafo-Ano South NDC picks a parliamentary candidate

Mankranso (Ash), March 19, GNA – The Ahafo-Ano South constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected Mr. Thomas Kwakwah, a teacher, as its parliamentary candidate for Election 2008. Mr. Kwakwah, 48, was elected as a sole contestant after a unanimous decision by the 250 delegates at a constituency congress held at Mankranso. The election was supervised by the district branch of the National Electoral Commission (NEC). Addressing the congress Mr. Daniel Ohene-Agyekum, Chairman of the party for the Ashanti Region, urged polling agents and branch executives in the area to be vigilant during the polls while also working assiduously to amass votes for the NDC in the area to win the seat. He expressed optimism and confidence that the NDC will win this year’s election.
