Man of God predicts tense political atmosphere

Accra, March 17, GNA- Speaking the mind of God about the 2008 General Election, the Head of Christian Redemption International Ministry, on Monday predicted a stressful political contest that calls for the wisdom of all stakeholders to preserve national stability. Apostle Schambach Amaniampong, who spoke to the Ghana News Agency, stressed: “This year’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections would be very tense and the most challenging in the History of Ghana.” He said in the spiritual realm he could perceive that the political atmosphere especially around August would be highly charged with accusations and counter accusations especially among the two leading political parties- the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Party (NDC).

“This calls for circumspection especially among the NPP and NDC about the choice of words during the campaign period, in order to preserve national peace, stability and cohesion.”

Apostle Amaniampong also called on Government to beef up the security of the Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo in order to frustrate demonic plans to eliminate him. He said the murderous plan of the devil would disturb the political landscape and cause so much pandemonium.

Apostle Amaniampong advised President John Agyekum Kufuor to undertake regular check-ups on his health status, especially after he leaves office on January 7, 2008 to avoid what he termed “Looming danger that could have grave consequences on him.”

He said another device the devil intended to use this year to cause bloodshed and mayhem was armed robbery and called on the security agencies to be vigilant to nip it in the bud. Focusing his attention on Liberia, Apostle Amaniampong tasked Christians to pray for the sustenance of peace and stability in the former war-torn country since the devil is planning another blood shed in the West African State.

Apostle Amaniampong prophesied a great breakthrough for people who are seeking the face of God, after the Easter festivities and called for Christians to expect great miracles between April and May.
