Ghana to host CNN Africa Best Journalist Award

Accra, Feb. 25, GNA – Ghana has been selected to host this year’s prestigious Multi-Choice Africa Best Journalist Award, Ms. Maggie Eales, CNN’s Senior Vice President and Managing Director, announced in Accra on Monday.

“We are proud to be in Ghana because of the press freedom and good governance”, she said, during a courtesy call on President John Agyekum Kufuor at the Castle, Osu.

Ghana hosted the maiden event some 13 years ago.

The CNN Senior Vice President said they were excited to be coming back once again.

President Kufuor said he was happy the international show drawing media contestants from all over the continent was going to be organized in Ghana. 25 Feb. 08
