Hohoe, Feb 21, GNA- A circuit court at Hohoe sentenced Amadu Ousmanu, a 43-year-old Malian Rastafarian, to four years imprisonment for illegally possession human skeleton, including a skull. Ousmanu, pleaded guilty to the charge. Chief Inspector, Samuel Gbedemah told the Court, presided over by Mr Samuel Sarpong-Appiah, that the human skeleton were found in Ousmanu’s bag at the Tapa-Abotoase market, during random search of bags by irate youth who were looking for a missing mobile phone. Prosecution said Ousmanu claimed he bought the human bones and the skull, which he used for the preparations of concoctions and spiritual divination, at the Atebubu market in the Brong Ahafo region. Chief Inspector Gbedemah said the court asked the Hohoe Government Hospital to destroy the bones and skull and ordered that Ousmanu be deported to his country of origin after serving the sentence.
