Ghana, US Sign Agreement On Aviation

ACCRA, Ghana – The US government Friday signed a grant agreement of 306,000 dollars with Ghana Civil Aviation Authority to finance feasibility studies for the development of investment plans for the Accra, Kumasi and Tamale airports.

Part of the grant will be used to develop Aviation Training Academy in Accra.

The accord was signed by acting roads and transport Minister Steve Akorli and Dennise Mathieu, deputy chief of mission of the US Embassy.

The studies will involve reviewing of existing data and facilities, provision of a forecast for passenger and cargo growth as well as capacity analysis and development of facility requirement.
