Man remanded for stealing Church bell

Cape Coast, 28 Jan, GNA- A circuit court in Cape Coast on Monday remanded Nana Abeiku, a 19-year old unemployed man, for allegedly stealing a bell belonging to the Mozama Disco Christo Church at Abura Edumfa in the Central Region.

The suspect who pleaded not guilty to stealing would re-appear at court on Wednesday, February 13.

Chief Inspector Hope Azasoo told the court presided over by Mr Richard Asiedu-Badu that at 0400 on 26th January at 0400 hours this year, Abeiku was spotted by a witness at the roadside waiting to board a vehicle with the bell.

He said further investigation revealed that he stole the bell valued at 200 Ghana cedis from the Abura Edumfa Mozama Christo Disco Church. 28 Jan 08
