Nsawam market watchman found dead

Nsawam, Jan. 22, GNA – Alhassan Pepe, a 70-year-old watchman of the Nsawam Central Market in the Akuapem South District, was on Tuesday found dead in a pool of blood.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on the incident, Police Superintendent Daniel Asare Yampong, Commander in-charge of Nsawam the District of the Ghana Police Service confirmed the story and said initial investigations revealed that the victim was asleep on a table when he was attacked by some unknown assailants who inflicted a deep cut on the face of the deceased across his right eye. He said the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Nsawam Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy, while investigations continue.
