Coaltar (E/R), Jan. 17, GNA – Mr Godfred Otchere, Member of Parliament for Ayesuano in the Eastern Region said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government was fulfilling its promise of providing every community with its share of development. Mr Otchere made this observation when he briefed the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after inspecting on-going projects in some communities in the constituency.
Some of the projects he inspected were extension of electricity supply, feeder roads and school infrastructure. Mr Otchere said the government was doing all these for the people in the rural areas for them to feel comfortable as well as to offer them the opportunity to establish cottage businesses to enjoy meaningful lifestyles.
He said in order to curb the rural-urban drift the government was establishing more projects in the hinterland to create employment for the youth.
Some of the communities the MP visited were Mankrong, Kyekyewere, Teacher Mante and Yawkor. He urged the people to initiate self-help projects for the government to support them.
