I don’t throw money about – Alan “Cash”

Ho, Nov. 29, GNA – Mr Alan Kyeremanteng, one of the Presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday discounted the notion that he throws money about as a means of drumming up support for his bid to become the Party’s flag bearer, hence the name “Alan Cash”. He said on the contrary, he helps people to improve on their economic potentials so as to be self-reliant.

Mr Kyeremanteng said this when he briefed the media in Ho after meeting five constituency and polling station executive members to round off his second campaign tour of the Volta Region. He maintained that he does not splash money but spend it on a worthy cause and urged his sympathizers not to be discouraged by negative propaganda about the source of money for his campaign. Rather they should remain focused to the “dream”.

Mr Kyeremanteng said what Ghanaians needed most now were jobs and cash and said he was more than prepared to usher the country into prosperity if elected to lead the NPP and to direct the affairs of the country from December, 2008.

He said he offered the best choice among the 17 other aspirants of the Party and prayed the delegates to “make the December 22, Delegates Conference a fruitful exercise”.

He urged Party faithful not to rely on popularity but step up the campaign to people’s doorstep.

He announced an allowance package for all polling station executives and a pick-up vehicle for all constituencies if given the nod to lead the Party in the 2008 Presidential Elections. Earlier, Mr Kenwuud Nuworsu, Volta Regional Chairman of the NPP introduced Mr Kyeremanteng as a man of varied background who had the “inner resources to endure and win the 2008 Presidential Elections for the NPP”.
