DORMAA STARS BEAT GYEABOUR STARS

Sunyani(B/A), Feb 7, Dormaa Aduana Stars beat Abesim Gyeabour Stars 2 1 in the Brong Ahafo Region soccer knockout match played at the Sunyani Coronation park today. Aduana Stars raced to a half time lead when skipper Augustine Kyeremeh scored in the 28th minute but Abesim Stars levelled up in the 59th minute. Aduana Stars doubled their efforts and Kyeremeh netted the winning goal in the 83rd minute. The two teams have qualified to represent the region in the forthcoming national knockout contest to be played in Accra next week. Each region is expected to submit names of two clubs for the competition due to start on Monday, February 12.
