MP for New Edubiase donates to school

Atobiase (Ash), Nov 14, GNA- Mr Ernest Kofi Yakah, Member of Parliament (MP) for New Edubiase, has donated 100 exercise books and an unspecified amount of money to the Almighty Safo International School at Atobiase near New Edubiase in the Adansi South District of Ashanti. The gesture was to support the needy but brilliant pupils and students of the school in their education.

Mr Yakah appealed to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the District to be supportive of the educational development in the area. This, he said would help to empower the youth to play meaningful roles in the nation’s development whiles also equipping them with the relevant employable skills to make them self-reliant in future. Mr Yakah urged pupils and students of the school to be obedient and law-abiding in order to justify the investment being made in them. Receiving the books and money on behalf of the beneficiary children, Mr Prince Boadu, Headmaster of the school, thanked the MP for the donation and expressed the hope that the gesture would go a long way to motivating the pupils and students in their studies.
