People of Anyinam gets borehole

Kumasi, Sept. 18, GNA- Nana Boakye Ansah Debrah, Chief of Asokore-Mampong has inaugurated a mechanized borehole for the people of Anyinam, near Asokore-Mampong in the Kumasi Metropolis. The project, which was financed by the Asokore-Mampong Traditional Council, would help ease the perennial water problems facing the people in the community and some parts of the Asokore-Mampong. Speaking at the ceremony, Nana Debrah, said the traditional council in collaboration with the Unit Committee and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly had initiated a number of development projects to help improve the living conditions of the people.

Among the projects were the constructions of the Asokore-Mampong-Aboabo, Sawaba-Asokore-Mampong roads, construction of market stalls at Asokore-Mampong, provision of a metal culvert on a gutter in front of the Catholic Church at Anyinam, formation of neighbourhood watch committee in the area and a tree planting programme. He charged the people of Anyinam to take proper care and maintain the borehole regularly to prolong its lifespan.

Nana Debrah appealed to the youth in the area to take their studies seriously in order to obtain higher academic laurels.
