Court orders ejection of former GPC employees

Tema, Sept. 06, GNA — Twenty-two former employees of Ghana Publishing Corporation (GPC) and their families were in the early hours of Thursday, ejected from their residence by an Accra High Court Bailiff assisted by the Police. Mr Agbeko Mensah, a Senior Bailiff of the court who led the exercise told newsmen that the court on May 24, this year, ruled in favour of the management of Tema Development Corporation (TDC) against the employees.

Mr Mensah said the court ordered the employees to vacate their houses at Tema Community Seven by Tuesday, July 31, this year. He said the team could not eject other former employees resident in Community Eight, because they left their homes when the exercise at Community Seven was taking place. However, the ejected employees told newsmen that they bought the houses from TDC. 06 Sept. 07
