Work on Kyebi post office to begin soon

Kyebi, Aug. 28, GNA – Mr Kofi Dua Adonteng, Managing Director of Ghana Post Company on Monday cut the sod for work to begin on a GH=A2150,000 (1.5 billion cedis) post office at Kyebi. It would replace the present one which is too small and located at an obscure place.

Mr Adonteng said location of the post office was not suitable for business because with new technological developments it would not be used for selling stamps but for business.

He said the new project would include ICT facilities to bridge the digital divide for Kyebi and its surrounding communities. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, appealed to the people to register with the district mutual health insurance scheme to access affordable health care delivery. He assured the people that plans were underway to explore the large bauxite deposit in the area to generate employment for the youth. Nana Adu Twumwaa Dokua, Okyenhemaa commended Nana Akufo-Addo for initiating the project and called on the contractor to complete the project on schedule.
