Plahar elected unopposed as NPP parliamentary candidate for Ada

Big Ada, Aug. 28, GNA – Mr Kofi Plahar was at the weekend elected unopposed as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ada constituency.

Before the acclamation of Mr Plaher, Mrs Betty Atsupi Gorleku Quashie, the constituency Women Organiser of the party who had also filed her nomination to contest the primaries, was persuaded to step down. At Sege Mr Divine Oto Agorhom, a 47-year-old businessman, polled 26 votes to win the primaries in the constituency.

Mr Edmund Kabutey Wordju followed with 25 votes with Mr James Ayiku Korbla polling four votes.
