Stock index begins the week stronger

Accra, Aug. 23, GNA – The main stock index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) began the week stronger with the GSE All-Share Index rising by 17.86 points.

The index closed at 5,508.26 points from 5,490.40 points on Friday. Change for the year ended higher at 10.03 per cent. Shares that changed hands were, however, a mere 80,800 and market capitalisation ended better at 11,677.67 million GH cedis. There were four price changes, all positive.

Ecobank Ghana Limited gained 0.0050 GH cedis at 1.5150 GH cedis, Fan Milk Ghana Limited inched up by 0.0001 GH cedis at 2.1101 GH cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank was 0.0380 Ghana cedis higher at 0.8400 Ghana Cedis and SG-SSB Bank gained 0.0003 GH cedis at 0.9275 GH cedis.
