NPP assured of second V/R seat if

Koforidua, Aug. 11, GNA – The Eastern Regional Financial Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Ike Apaw-Gyesi, has observed that, the party could be assured of a second parliamentary seat in the Volta Region if the Krachi West Constituency of the party elects Mr Richard Amofah as th candidate for 2008.

He explained that, he had worked with Mr Amofah for sometime in the party and found him to be somebody who worked methodically to achieve positive results.

Mr Apaw-Gyasi was speaking at a fund raising dinner dance organized by Mr Amofah to raise funds to support his campaign for nomination as the parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the Krachi West constituency. He said Mr Amofah had served the NPP at various levels in the Eastern Region faithfully and expressed the hope that when given the chance, Mr Amofah would served the people of Krachi West faithfully. Mr Amofah stated that he had spent greater part of his working life in the Eastern Region and said it was time for him to go back home to use the experience gained to serve his people.
