SFO advises people to report corruption cases to its office

Kumasi, July 21, GNA – The Central Zone of the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) in Kumasi has called on the public to report all alleged corruption and embezzlement cases to its office for in-depth investigations to be conducted.

It has also appealed to the media to direct all complaints to SFO after observing that alleged corruption cases are reported to media houses first.

A statement issued in Kumasi on Friday and signed by Mr Samuel Sarpong, Zonal Head, said it had become almost impossible for his office to monitor the numerous media houses for information due to the low staff strength in the region.

“The SFO sees the media as partners in the fight against corruption especially in the district assemblies and other agencies. It is in the light of this that we entreat all media houses to furnish the office with all allegations of corruption and embezzlement”, the statement said.
