Housing Project for Police Service

Tema, July 11, GNA- The Ghana Police Service would soon embark on a 30 million US dollars housing project throughout the country to help solve the prevailing accommodation problems facing police personnel. The project locations have not yet been specified, but work is expected to commence between September and October.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) John Kudalor, Tema Regional Commander, revealed during a welfare meeting with senior officials of the police service at Tema.

He assured the over 40 officials that, even though the locations were yet to be specified, the Tema municipality is sure of benefiting due to its economic importance to the country and its crime rate. ACP Kudalor urged personnel to be more professional in performing their duties by providing the needed services at the right time.

He further urged policemen to be courteous when dealing with the general public, noting that, ‘this would help restore the dwindling image of the police as the activities of some bad nuts have overshadowed the professional work of the over 90 percent good ones in the service”
