Adugyama to get electricity

Adugyama (Ash), April 30, GNA – The people of Adugyama in the Ahafo Ano South District have spent about 30 million cedis on their electrification project, which is expected to be completed in the next two months.

Mr Adu-Boampong, the assemblyman for Adugyama electoral area disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency at Adugyama during a fund- raising harvest in aid of the project.

He said that special levies of 10 thousand cedis a man and five thousand cedis per woman, as well as communal labour, have helped the early completion of the project.

The assemblyman congratulated the people for their self-help spirit and said that the community would also build a post office and a community centre after the completion of the electrification project, as part of the town’s development programme. An amount of 1.6 million cedis was realised at the function.
