Watchman jailed for burning NDC signpost

Koforidua, April 29 GNA – Kwesi Anokye, a watchman at Akim Eshem, who burnt a signpost, belonging to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been sentenced to three month’s imprisonment by the Asamankese circuit court.

Anokye, who pleaded guilty to causing damage to a signpost was also fined 500,000 cedis or in default serve nine months imprisonment. A press release issued in Koforidua on Friday by the Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Unit said Anokye committed the offence on April four.
