Arkorful buried at Apam

Apam July 5, GNA – Burial took place at the Apam Royal cemetery of the late Nana Justice Bassaw Arkorful, founder and proprietor of the Kumasi Cambridge International Complex Schools and the first private teacher training college in the country. He was 83.

Present at the funeral were the Mfantsemanhene of Kumasi, Nana Arkorful Owese and other dignitaries including Bishops of the Methodist and Anglican churches from Kumasi, Obuasi, Sekondi, Cape Coast and Tamale.

The Right Reverend Kow Bosomefi Egyir, Administrative Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, preaching at the memorial service reminded the mourners, that God created man in his own image and likeness and breathe life into him.

He said that the soul was a gift from God who had the right to take it back anytime.

“Our duty is to use the soul to serve our maker and our neighbour and where possible leave a mark of recognition so that those yet to come may learn from our good works”, he said.
