G2 Soccer, the organizers of the soccer tournament originally slated for July this summer during the Ghana Fest celebration in Chicago regrets to announce the cancellation of this year’s contest. The organizers cited logistical issues as the reason for the cancellation; however, fans should not be disappointed, as the event will go on full force in 2008.
The teams that applied to participate in the tournament have been notified of the change and will participate in the games next year. The event seeks to bring all Ghanaian and US soccer lovers and enthusiasts together to celebrate Ghana Fest and Ghana Soccer at the same venue. Stay tuned for further details.
