Prophetess denies she is sick

Akyem Oda, May 31, GNA – Prophetess Grace Adu, Founder and Leader of Peace of God Church International at Jerusalem near Akyem Achiase in the Birim South District, on Thursday denied that she was seriously ill and was in hospital.

Reacting to rumours that she was taken ill after uprooting a tree suspected to be a meeting place for witches at Otabli in the Birim North District, she said “These rumours are false, I have not even experienced a headache since felling the tree”.

Speaking to the GNA at Akyem Oda, Prophetess Adu said a few days after bringing the tree down through intensive prayers rumours started spreading to the effect that she had been bewitched and was on the point of death.

“I was getting numerous telephone calls from my well wishers who wanted to ascertain the truth and I wish to tell all that I am alive and kicking”.

The prophetess arrived in the community on a crusade and people complained to her about their suspicion that the tree was an evil one and was retarding their progress.

The people said they tried on numerous occasions to fell the tree without success and when the prophetess was able to bring it down after prayers, a big hole was discovered inside with a mat in it. 31 May 07
