One Akos, a girl friend of the accused who was said to have aided him to commit the crime is on the run and the court had issued a bench warrant for her arrest.

Police Chief Inspector Ben Osei Kwadwo, told the court presided over by Mr Edward Kwame Bosompem Apenkwah, that the victim lives with her parents at Asamankese while Tetteyvi also resides in the town. He said on April 21 this year at about 1530 hours, Akos who was staying with the accused invited the victim to accompany her to the market.

When they returned, Akos aided Tetteyvi in pushing the victim into the room of the accused.

After satisfying himself, Tetteyvi gave the girl some soft drink, milk and some drugs and warned her not to disclose the ordeal to anyone or else she would die. The victim however reported the matter to her parents and a report was made to the police who issued the victim with a medical form to attend hospital where it was proved that her hymen was broken.
