BECE ends without any incident at Garu

Garu (U/E), April 29, GNA – A total of 737 candidates took part in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) in the Garu-Tempane district, the second to be conducted in the district, without any incident. Out of this number, 264 were girls while six students failed to turn up.

Over 30 schools wrote the exams in the three centres of the District capital. Mr. Eugene Zongo-Naah Domah, District Director of Education, who briefed the Ghana News Agency (GNA) after a visit to the centres, said no incident was recorded during the exams. He said the materials were brought on time, which made the exams to start on schedule. Invigilators performed well and took time to explain the various procedures involved to students before each paper started, the district Director said.

He commended the students for their comportment and expressed the hope that future candidates would emulate their behaviour.
