The 2007 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Yamfo Citizens INC, the North America Non-Profit Organization is scheduled to take place once again at Framingham in Massachusetts. This year’s meeting is to be held on May 26th at the Framingham Civic League at 1.00pm. Members numbering close to 250 from USA, Canada, Europe and some opinion leaders based in Ghana are expected to be part of this meeting.

The scheduled meeting is aimed at taking stock of last year, to evaluate the activities and operations of the association and to initiate new development projects. Notably among issues to be examined are the matters emanating from the computers that were shipped to Ghana to establish the Community Computer Laboratory at Yamfo and the final arrangements made for the homing coming of members this year to assess the extent to which the association is performing and to also get first hand information of the needs of the people. In line with the above the vice president of the association, Bright Agyapong is gone to Ghana to do some preparatory arrangements for the great home coming of the members that will constitute the convoy.

Citizens of Yamfo based in Europe like Nana Alex Boakye Srampa, Opoku Marfo and Ebenezer Adjei, the coordinator of the activities of the association at Yamfo and Agyei Peter Secretary of Yamfo Town Council are expected to be in attendance to brief the house on their stewardships at their various places of operation. Back at Framingham when I spoke to some of the organizers of the May 26 meeting, Nana Ohemeng Adjei, Osei Tutu, Alex Addo, Sampene Addo, Pinanmang and Amos, they hinted that this year’s will be grand and will even surpass the previous.
