UEW TESCON initiates sensitization programme on new cedi

Tanoso (Ash), April 18, GNA – The University of Education Winneba (Kumasi Campus) branch of the Tertiary Students Confederation (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has drawn up a comprehensive programme to sensitise the people of three districts on the upcoming re-denomination of the new cedi currency.

The districts are Atwima-Nwabiagya, Atwima-Mponua in Ashanti and Nadowli in the Upper East region.

Mr Martin Rich Mills Yeboah, President of the TESCON told the Ghana News Agency at Tanoso near Kumasi that the group would also educate the people on the National Identification Programme. He said the programmes would begin on April 21 and last for two weeks.
