Police to pursue drug dealers in Kpando District

Kpando, April 17, GNA – Mr William Akpesey, the Kpando District Police Commander, said on Tuesday that the police had launched a sustained war against dealers in illicit narcotic drugs and other psychotropic substances in the district.

He said the police were reviewing constantly their tactics and strategies in order to be one-step ahead of these “social misfits”. Mr Akpesey, who was speaking to the Ghana News Agency, said in spite of logistical constraints and challenges posed by the load shedding exercise his personnel were poised to smash criminal gangs in the district.

He appealed to them to stop their illicit trade and engage in occupations that are rewarding.
