NDC shuns parliamentary seats?advantage for NPP

The Free Press writes in its lead story that internal strife and discontentment have engulfed the NDC in two constituencies in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.

The paper says NDC sources indicate that as at now, nobody has expressed interest to contest the t seats n the ticket of the party, alleging that all those who were approached by the party, had declined to contest with the explanation that under no circumstances would the party win elections in the municipality under the leadership of the present Municipal Chief Executive, Mr E.A. Boateng.

The NDC executives in the municipality are said to have, therefore, petitioned the party hierarchy to remove the chief executive.

According to the Free Press several meetings between some top notches of the NDC and the New Juaben Municipal Co-ordinating Committee of the party, were held to settle the issue but all to no avail.
