Accra, March 20, GNA – A total of 195 youth has been placed in permanent employment by the La Dadekotopon Sub-metro branch of the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) in Accra.
Mr L D Mensah, Programme Co-ordinator of the NYEP, speaking to the He expressed the hope that by June this year, 93hopefully the message might have gone down well and the number would increase”. Mr Mensah stated that the Sub-metro covered the Airport area Police Barracks, La Township, Labone and the Trade Fair area.
He noted that with over 120,000 registered voters in the area, there were many young people in the area many of them unemployed. The Sub-metro Co-ordinator expressed the hope that the unemployed youth in the area would register with the NYEP for support, advice and job placement.
