Seed Growers Association appeals for help

Kumasi, March 7, GNA – The Ashanti Regional branch of the Seed Growers Association (SGA) has said that lack of seed package materials to bag seed maize was hampering the work of members and that the situation has caused them financial loss.

The association has therefore appealed to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) as a matter of urgency to supply them with materials to bag the stockpiled maize.

Mr Samuel Amankwaah Yeboah, the leader of the association, said this when he took newsmen to inspect maize at a warehouse of the Ghana Seed Company at Asuyeboa in Kumasi on Monday.

Mr Yeboah said despite repeated appeals to the ministry for the supply of their needs nothing had been done about it.
