Ex-convict goes back to prison

Mampongteng (Ash), March 1, GNA – A 20-year-old ex-convict, who chose to feed fat on his neighbour’s fowls, has been sent back to prison for 24 months for stealing two fowls from his neighbour’s coop by a Mampongteng magistrate’s court.

Yakubu Dramani pleaded guilty to stealing two fowls belonging to Mallam Rabin Abubakari.

Police Inspector Solomon Etrew told the court that on November 24 last year the complainant heard an unusual noise in his coop and when he went out to see what was happening, he saw the convict holding a fertilizer bag near the coop and attempted to run away but he was arrested. When the bag was searched it was found to contain two fowls that had been strangled. 01 March 07
