Ghana@50: Vigils

Ghana will be 50 at precisely one minute past midnight on Tuesday, 6th March 2007.

To welcome in this glorious occasion, vigils will be held in all the 10 regional capitals from 9pm on Monday, 5th March.

The vigils will climax at midnight with giant fireworks displays as never before seen in our nation.

Let us remember the momentous date of the declaration of our independence. So, wherever you are in the country, be sure to be at the right place on the night to usher in an event to remember for all the family.

The venues are: Accra – The Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Koforidua – Jackson Park, Ho, Tamale, Wa, Bolgatanga, Sunyani, Kumasi, Takoradi and Cape Coast
