SAEMA and Minister donate to victims of rainstorm

Mampong (W/R), Feb. 16, GNA – The Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly (SAEMA) on Thursday presented relief items to people whose houses were damaged during a rainstorm.

The items included 20 poly mats, 30 blankets, 10 plastic buckets, 20 plastic cups, 20 plastic plates and used clothing. Mr. Philip Kwesi Nkrumah, the Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Chief Executive who made the presentation, assured the victims of the assembly’s support.

Nana Ewui Kurma 11, Queenmother of Mampong, who received the items on behalf of the victims, thanked the SAEMA.

Mr. Joe Ghartey, the Member of Parliament for Ketan/Essikadu, also donated two bags of rice, one bag of sugar, two boxes of canned fish and one gallon of cooking oil to the victims at the function. Mrs Efua Ghartey, wife Mr. Ghartey, made the presentation on behalf of her husband. 16 Feb 07
