Abodem community gets new chief

Nyinahin (Ash), Feb 15, GNA=96 Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum, Nyinahinhene has called on his sub-chiefs to mobilise their people to undertake development projects in their communities. He said patriotism and communal spirit are the keys for development and progress.

Nana Twum made the call when Nana Antwi Boasiako, the new Abodem chief swore the oath of allegiance to him at Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua district on Tuesday.

Nana Boasiako succeeded Nana Kwabena Abebrese, 90, who abdicated due to ill-health.

He appealed to the people to co-operate with the new chief to ensure that peace and harmony prevail in the community. Nana Twum called on the people who have not as yet registered with the National Health Insurance Scheme to do so to enable them have affordable health care delivery.

Nana Boasiako pledged to co-operate with the people to ensure peace and development in the area. 15 Feb 07
