PNC withdraws suspension of Ndebugre

Accra, Feb. 15, GNA – The People’s National Convention (PNC) has withdrawn unconditionally the suspension of Mr John Ndebugre, First Vice National Chairman and MP for Zebila, from the party. In a letter to Mr Ndebugre signed by Mr Daniel Yahaya, Chairman of the Council of Elders, the PNC said the decision was taken at an emergency meeting held on January 13 at the Party’s secretariat. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the youth wing, MPs of the Party, Council of Elders, Regional Chairmen and other concerned party members.

The letter dated 31st January, 2007 read: 93=85It was resolved that the decision taken on 18th February 2006 suspending you (Hon. John Akparibo Ndebugre) from the Office of the 1st Vice National Chairman of the Party be withdrawn unconditionally.

“Consequently, we write to inform you that the said suspension has been immediately and unconditionally withdrawn.” The letter was copied to Mrs Fulera Limann, wife of the founder of the PNC, the late former President Hilla Limann, all national executives and regional chairmen.

Mr Ndebugre was suspended following his support for the Representation of the People Amendment Bill, which was said to be contrary to the party’s position.
