Suhum, Feb. 6, GNA – A middle aged man was found lying dead at the outskirt of Suhum between Omanaku and Obretima on Accra-Kumasi trunk road at the week end.
In an interview with the Acting Odikro of Obretima, Nana Sakyi, who is also the fetish priest of the town, he said because he has to perform some customary rites before seeing the dead body, he could not go to the scene.
He however, said he was informed that the body which was partly decomposed was found by a revenue collector from Suhum who was on his normal rounds collecting revenue and that the deceased is yet to be identified.
Nana Sakyi said a report was made to the police at Suhum and the body was conveyed to Suhum Government Hospital for post mortem. When the police at Sukum, when contacted, confirmed the story and said investigations were being conducted into the case.
The police acknowledged that the last dead body brings to six people who had been found dead at Suhum and the surrounding villages in recent times and that out of the six, only two have been identified.
