Pastor burgled after a send-off service

Begoro (E/R), Feb. 5, GNA – The outgoing Resident Pastor of the Begoro AME Zion Church, Rev. Edmund Opoku was burgled after a send-off service was held for him at Begoro.

Narrating his ordeal to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), on Monday, Rev. Opoku said even though he has been transferred to Abomosu, efforts were now underway to convey his belongings.

He said he came down to Begoro at the weekend only to see that his house has been broken into and over two million cedis being proceeds from the send-off service, his wives belongings and a ram had been stolen.

He said the unknown culprits after robbing him also attempted setting the house on fire, but it was put out with the help of well wishers.
