Libya Win Benghazi Tournament

TRIPOLI, Libya (PANA) – The Libyan national football team won the second edition of the Great Artificial River tournament which kicked off 23 December in Benghazi, 1,050 km east of Tripoli, after drawing 1-1 with Ghana Friday.

Libya opened the scoring through Jihad Al-Mountassir (58th) and Stephen Tetteh equalised for Ghana in the 71st minute.

In the second match of Friday’s final round, Cameroon beat Togo 2-0 thanks to goals from Nkong Alai (48th) and Idrissou Mohamadou (73).
