Aburi Police holding four for kidnapping

Aburi (E/R), Jan 29, GNA – Four suspects are being held by the Aburi Police on suspicion of kidnapping a 38-year-old Yaw Amoah, a drivers’ mate at Aburi on December 24 of last year.

According to a spokesman for Aburi Police, the four suspects were assisted with a lantern by a woman called Mama to enter the house of Nana Bugyei Acheampong at about 11.00 pm at Aburi to kidnap Amoah under the false pretext that he was being wanted by the police. The police said Nana Acheampong who was then in bed heard some noises in his house and when he came out he saw the nephew surrounded by crowd of people.

He therefore made a complained to the Aburi Police who denied knowledge of the arrest.

Nana Acheampong confirmed the story of the police when contacted.
